Today I set aside a few hours to work on the book project.  This past week I turned in a rough draft and although the initial comments are good, we are about ten thousand words short.  Ouch!   Looks like I have some serious writing to do.

Anyway. That is how I found myself looking through all the old blog posts on the Drawn From Water blog, trying to find some stories that I may have missed.  As I look through and see all the writing and pictures about the incredible journey that God has allowed us to be a part of I am humbled and overwhelmed.

I realize that I am passionately thankful for the time we had with those kids, each of them a beautiful creation of His and each moment we spent together a precious treasure that I wish I could freeze and keep forever.

I am thankful for a faithful God who never forgets his children.

I am thankful for a God that uses us despite our failures.

I am thankful for a God who’s heart burns for the orphaned children on this earth.

I am thankful for a God who sees our broken lives as a canvas with which he can paint a masterpiece.

I am thankful for a God who’s love we will never understand.

I am thankful for a God who rewards those who give of their lives like there is no tomorrow.
