In Ethiopia and you have given your hearts, and every last ounce of energy that every last person in your family has towards creating new families for widows and orphans, and you then find yourself in a meeting where the person in charge tells you that on Monday you will finally, after all this, after every bit of you has been drained, and your heart and soul is bleeding, get to bring orphans in to your project; It is probably good if you know going in that the Monday they are speaking of really means that the paperwork is getting filed that day, not that you are actually getting kids then.

Thankfully they tell us the paperwork part is not a “long” process, but I have to tell you, it would have been nice if we had been warned going in.  Somedays I am not sure how much of this our family can take before we crack and go nuts.
